Countdown Timer

The countdown timer allows FEDS to cascade timesheets from template to implementation.

FEDS walks you through creating your projects and locations. This allows the author of a project or location to correctly assign the initial start/end times based on the lifecycle tasks.

When creating a project, you first assign the target due date. When copying each task from the template over to the project/location, the due date for each task can be calculated using the following steps:

1. Find the task with the largest relative due date – the task with the largest relative due date is the duration of the project/location lifecycle.

2. Determine a "Latest Start Date" – this determines the latest possible time that the project/location should start. These determine hard deadlines (each task's "due dates").

3. Add the relative due date to the latest start date – this determines the hard deadlines for each task.
