Templating

Learn how to create Project Templates.

Templating refers to developing a template for a project. Creating a new project template will appear as a "Project Type" when creating a new project.

The project type determines the project lifecycle tasks upon creation. When adding new locations to the project, the location lifecycle template is used to populate the lifecycle tasks.

Before a project template can be used to instantiate a new project or location, it must be locked. A locked project cannot be changed.

Creating a New Template

1. Click Template > New Template.

2. Populate the "Project Type", "Description", "Notes", and "Risks" fields.

3. Click "Create".

Next, add the Project Tasks and Location Lifecycle Tasks:

1. Click the name of the newly created template.

2. Fill out the form for the task (subtasks should be assigned a parent).
