Simplified definitions for some common words and phrases used in FEDS.
A
Account – noun, a representation of a client in the context of FEDS. Accounts are data owners, such as Projects, Locations, and Tasks.
L
Location – noun, a physical location where a project takes place. Many locations can be assigned to a single project.
Location Template – noun, fill this out
P
Project – noun, a collection of locations and tasks that, when completed, satisfies the client's requirements. Projects may belong to a single account, while a single account may contain many projects.
Project Template – noun, a simplified version of a project, disconnected from any account and specific locations, that projects and project locations can inherit their task lists.
Project Type – noun, a classification of a project that determines which template set to use for a given project.
T
Task – noun, a detailed record of what the assignee should do, data they must provide, and the task's status.
Templating – verb, building a template for a project.
